There is always so much talk about how to remove or reduce wrinkles. In fact, there are entire industries based around the concept of eliminating them. With all the talk about how terrible, it obvious that the wrinkle is getting a bum rap. In search of equality, the author examines the wrinkle prejudice in our society.
It is rather obvious to anyone who’s watching, that the wrinkle clearly gets the raw end of the deal. No one wants them. Much of our society actually spends a significant amount of money, and enact daily routines, to completely eliminate them from their existence. Imagine if there was an entire industry created for the sole purpose of wiping you off the planet. And for what?….doing your job? That would be a P.R. nightmare for any corporation under any other circumstance, but with the wrinkle…..everyone simply looks the other way.
Wrinkles have been discriminated against for years, but only recently has the popularity grown five-fold. With the advancement of science and a better understanding of environmental damages, we have become a society of eliminating wrinkles before we even give them a chance to grow up to be good wrinkles. It’s as though every wrinkle is predetermined to have a negative existence. Now I’m not the most political of people, but it seems to me that more people should be standing up for the wrinkle.
The wrinkle is here to stay. They have no intention of going away, and why would they? What have they ever done to you? The wrinkle is just a variation of skin, much like a freckle or a difference in pigmentation. The color of skin is recognized as a source of discrimination, but never the sagging of the skin. How fair is that?
Its not that I don’t understand that people find them unattractive, I get it. But just because we don’t find someone attractive, doesn’t mean can try to eliminate them. In any other social circumstance the behavior towards the wrinkle would be criticized if not prosecuted. We are engaged in nothing short of wrinkle genocide, and I for one am going to say something about it.
I am calling on all supporters of the “Wrinkles Rule” campaign to comment. I want to mobilize this movement and stand up for this defenseless victim. Wrinkles are forced to wait their whole life to come out, and when they finally do, we strike down with furious vengeance, as it attacking our mortal enemy. They neither expect the attack, nor deserve it. It is our job to stand up for the weak, not knock them down because you can. That is not the nation that we have become. Please join the wrinkles rule supporters worldwide and voice your opinion, stand up for the wrinkle, as they appreciate it.
Wrinkles by nature are a quiet sort. Never one to complain about the injustices being done to them, they quietly go about their jobs and their lives never once interrupting anyone’s day. But still people want to destroy them……THIS HAS TO STOP. Please join us in the movement to protect and serve the wrinkle, they are no different than us, in fact, many of them are us.
